MoDOT urges drivers to pay attention as schools resume

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - As school districts in our area reopen, the Missouri Department of Transportation has a reminder.

MoDOT is urging drivers to slow down and pay attention, especially in school zones or when children are walking or bicycling to school in the early mornings, or late afternoons.

Officials are also urging people to stop when a school bus has its red warning lights flashing. As always, MoDOT encourages people to buckle up, eliminate distractions, and to slow down in school zones.
